Who It Is For

Built for organizations whose missions depend on people working well together

Impact Logic works with mission-driven service organizations that want their roles, decisions, systems, and everyday practices to better support the work they exist to do.

We are especially well suited for organizations serving people and communities that are navigating growth, leadership transition, inconsistent ways of working, unclear ownership, concentrated knowledge, or internal systems that have not kept pace with the mission.

The organizations we work with

Impact Logic works primarily with leaders of:

Community-based and human service organizations

Behavioral-health organizations and mission-driven practices

Workforce development organizations

Youth- and family-serving organizations

Housing, recovery, education, and related service organizations

Other mission-driven organizations whose work directly serves people and communities

Impact Logic serves organizations nationwide through a virtual-first consulting model. The common connection is that the organization's work directly serves people or communities.

Nationwide · Virtual-First

Organizations serving people and communities deserve operations that are as thoughtful and effective as the missions they advance.

Impact Logic exists to bring disciplined operational thinking to mission-driven service organizations — adapted to their values, their people, and the communities they serve.

Organizations come to Impact Logic with different needs and challenges

The organization may still be serving people, meeting obligations, and moving important work forward. At the same time, recurring points of friction may be placing unnecessary pressure on its people, leadership, or capacity.

Decisions repeatedly returning to one person

Unclear or overlapping roles

Different people handling the same process differently

Important knowledge living in individual memory

Repeated questions or requests for clarification

Inconsistent onboarding or knowledge transfer

Unclear ownership of follow-up

Weak handoffs between people or departments

Systems or tools that no longer fit the work

Strategic priorities that do not become everyday practice

Growth that is placing strain on people, systems, or leadership

Leaders and staff experiencing expectations differently

These are common challenges in service organizations, and each presents an opportunity to create greater clarity and alignment in service of the mission.

Philosophy

Impact Begins at Home

Before an organization can carry its mission into the world, that mission has to be reflected in the way the organization works. It should be visible in how people are led, how decisions are made, how responsibility is shared, and whether people have what they need to do the work well. When an organization practices internally what it hopes to make possible externally, its people are better able to carry the mission farther and sustain its impact.

What Helps the Work Succeed

The organizations that benefit most from this work share a willingness and ability to participate in the decisions, reflection, and follow-through that meaningful operating change requires.

Ability to make and carry decisions

The person leading the engagement has the authority to make relevant operating decisions or can bring the appropriate decision-makers into the process.

Capacity to participate and follow through

The organization has enough stability, time, and leadership availability to engage in a structured process and begin putting the resulting decisions into practice. Everything does not need to be running smoothly, but the organization must have enough capacity to participate meaningfully.

A workable funding plan

The organization has an approved budget or a credible path to funding the work through operating resources, reserves, a grant, a funder, or another sponsor. The funding source does not need to be finalized before an inquiry is submitted, but there should be a realistic willingness to explore what the work will require.

Openness to honest examination

The strongest engagements happen when leadership is willing to examine what is working, where the organization is experiencing friction, and what may need to change. Impact Logic is most useful when the process is intended to support learning and decision-making—not simply confirm a solution that has already been chosen.

When Another Kind of Support May Be Needed First

Some organizational needs require a different kind of expertise or more immediate stabilization before an operating-strategy engagement can be useful.

An immediate crisis requires specialized attention

An acute financial, legal, clinical, human-resources, safety, or leadership crisis may need to be stabilized before the organization can participate effectively in operating-design work.

The necessary leaders cannot participate

The work is unlikely to be useful when the people responsible for relevant decisions are unavailable or unable to participate in the process.

The primary need falls outside Impact Logic's scope

Impact Logic does not provide fundraising, legal advice, accounting, clinical consultation, workplace investigations, or outsourced daily management. When another form of expertise is more appropriate, Impact Logic may recommend a different resource.

The organization wants a generic document

Impact Logic develops practical operating guidance around the organization's actual mission, people, decisions, systems, and ways of working. The engagement requires participation and is not designed to provide a prewritten template with minimal organizational input.

The primary goal is to evaluate individual employees

Impact Logic examines operating conditions and organizational perspectives. The work is not designed to serve as a concealed employee performance review, disciplinary process, or workplace investigation.

Begin With an Inquiry

Every organization's situation is different. Submitting an inquiry gives Impact Logic an opportunity to understand what the organization is navigating, why support is being considered now, and what kind of next step may be most useful.

After reviewing the inquiry, Impact Logic may extend an invitation to a Fit & Readiness Call, request additional information, or recommend another resource that may be better suited to the organization's needs.

Qualification is complimentary. Diagnosis is paid work.
